The bigger the dish, the better the signal and the more stable are your pictures and sound throughout the day. The southern Costa Blanca is a black hole for signals from the main satellite broadcasting UK television and radio.
The numbers indicate in metres the size of dish needed for good 24/7 reception of most UK television signals. In the black hole that is the Vega Baja a 2.4 metre dish will usually give a full 24/7 service for all UK channels. British TV viewers in Spain are the only ones that need such big dishes. Other western European and Scandinavian nationalities can view their home country’s TV on 1 metre dishes.
Fortunately, an adequate level of service can be received on a 1.9 metre dish. Trying to use anything less in the map’s blue shaded area is fraught with difficulty and results in the stable reception of many of the less popular channels but only a few of the key ones.

Sharing the installation costs with a neighbour may be an option where apartment blocks, bungalows, townhouses, and semis are prime candidates for a sharing one 1.9m or 2.4m dish. We even do villas and community systems.
